Since the coalition Government of Conservatives and Liberal Democrats took office in May 2010, well over 70 per cent of vacant jobs in the United Kingdom have been given to people who are not British nationals. IPS receives its data on migration to the United Kingdom by counting the number of passengers arriving at UK seaports and airports and surveying passengers about their reasons for entering the UK. It measures only the passengers coming to Britain for at least 12 months.
