At Super Bowl XXXIV, the Pro Football Hall of Fame was announced, and Russ Grimm was among its ranks. Grimm left a legacy in Washington that he carried over into his coaching career. In Canton, Ohio, he will be enshrined as having been a Super Bowl winning guard for the Washington Redskins.

Russ Grimm was born in Scottsdale, Pennsylvania in 1959, and was a third round draft pick of the Washington Redskins in 1981. He would spend his entire career as a guard in D.C. His quintet with Jeff Bostic, Mark May, George Stark and Joe Jacoby became known as the “Hogs” offensive line. Grimm is said to live up to the Hog persona, as he has a strong blue collar appearance.
